Astroid Boys release new album ‘Broke’ and announce UK skows

Recorded and produced at Dellux’s Newport studio, Astroid Boys bring you their meticulously crafted debut. Traxx says about their debut, “This album is called ‘Broke’, because we live in a broken society with a broken system, broken education; a broken world. Sometimes this can leave you feeling broke. First step to making a change is to recognise the problem.” Benji adds, “Being broke scares most people to death because we are taught that money = happiness, and without it we can’t survive. Says who? I’ve had some of the best nights of my life without a single penny in my pocket. I could never be Broke.”

Their aim when starting the band was to create something new and exciting. Detailing the thoughts and feelings of a generation who feel unheard and ignored, Astroid Boys take this as an opportunity to really demonstrate their ability to merge two rebellious genres into something of their very own creation.

With the band sitting comfortably between grime and punk/hardcore, their sound fuses together multiple sub-cultures and perspectives—a growth that defines them less as a band and more as a voice for the youth. Not many artists can say they’ve supported Trash Talk and Deez Nuts, as well as Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Skepta and Stormzy, but Astroid Boys have taken their live show to the urban and metal scenes across the UK.
