Dr. Martens is a culturally relevant and iconic British brand, with music in its DNA.  Having established Dr. Martens as the uniform of choice for gig goers and performers the world over, few brands are as closely linked to music as Dr. Martens.

With the lightweight construction of the new #DMsLITE range providing the next revolution in the life of the iconic brand, the Stand For Something Tour 2016 reflects the wide appeal of the enduring footwear brand and the diversity of consumers that wear DM’s today.

Bringing some of the finest UK talent to intimate venues around the country this autumn, the first three headliners for the tour are Formation, Paigey Cakey and VANT. With one more headliner to be revealed and supports to be announced soon, this promises to be one of the interesting years for the tour yet.

Last year’s sold out Stand For Something Tour featured Twin Atlantic, Bury Tomorrow, Lonely The Brave, Dutch Uncles, Palma Violets and The Wytches.

After a summer of momentous festival appearances, their appearance on the Stand For Something tour is one not to be missed.

Paigey Cakey:

Hackney MC and actress Paigey Cakey’s distinctive talent has seen her garner a legion of fans and appear in huge films like Attack The Block and with huge tunes like recent single Boogie its no wonder. Spearheading a female charge alongside Lady Leshurr in grime’s erstwhile male dominated scene, hers is a name that will surely soon be inescapable.

What do you stand for, Paigey Cakey?

“I stand for myself, for one, but I wanna be the voice of the young people. I want to stand for the youth; I want to stand for something that means something. I feel like the youth of today need role models to look up to, so I want to stand for them.”

Lead by frontman Matty Vant, their raucous live shows and recent, politically charged EP Karma Seeker have positioned the band as one of UK rock music’s brightest hopes. They headline the Newcastle date of the Stand For Something Tour 2016.

What do you stand for, VANT?
