machineheart are formed of singer Stevie Scott, drummer Harrison Allen, guitarist Carman Kubanda, and bassist Jake Randle. The band have been making ripples in the US ever since their effervescent, electro-pop debut track ‘Circles’ was released in Spring 2015.

As kids of the 90s, machineheart have been inspired by a range of artists from Fleetwood Mac to Radiohead and Nirvana. The band’s inspirations are present in their knack for writing indelible melodies that tug at the emotions and stick in your head.

Stevie said “I always tend to gravitate towards love because, I mean, isn’t that what we’re all looking for?” she says. “So whether it’s love lost, or really feeling secure in your place, or where you are in life. Love and pain are two of the most real emotions that we feel as humans, so I like to really hone in on that and capture that expression.”

The band are in the process of writing their debut album and take any opportunity to write whether it’s in Harrison’s living room, in their rehearsal space in Echo Park or in the quiet of Stevie’s bedroom. machineheart are working on their debut album with Dave Bassett (Elle King, Fitz & the Tantrums) and Nick Ruth (Active Child, RAC, Astrid S).
