Puppy unveil video for new single ‘Arabella’!

North London 3 piece PUPPY have unveiled a brilliant, brand new video for single ‘Arabella’ which pays heavy homage to shows like Kightmare and The Crystal Maze.

The band also performed LIVE on Radio 1, Sunday 30th on the Rock Show for ‘Rocktober’, along with Enter Shikari and Deaf Havana, which you

Front-man Jock Norton on the song: “Arabella was already written and recorded before we began work on Vol II, and in a way I think it laid the foundations for the sort of thing we wanted to achieve with the whole EP; musically it had a much darker, melancholy sound than some of our earlier tracks, and lyrically it hints at elements of things like love and death in this dramatic, almost gothic horror kinda way. It’s certainly one of the tracks I’m most proud of, and the video edit of the song has the extended bridge in it that we do live, so that’s a nice little touch for people who’ve already heard it recorded.”

Bassist Will Michael, explains a bit about the idea behind the video: “We wanted to make something that combined our love of vintage TV, video games and bad special effects so we decided on a 90’s adventure game show. We all grew up watching shows like Knightmare and the Crystal maze and genuinely believed we would grow up and get the chance to be contestants one day, so besides getting the opportunity to combine our favourite elements of shows like that, with this video we quietly fulfil our lifelong dreams of getting to wear gameshow branded outfits.  The video stars Metin Marlow who played the karaoke singer in the video for the Great Beyond, and Lenord who was the star of Georgia Harris’s awesome fan video for Waste Away.”

Live wise, you can catch the band next on December 2 Corby, The Hut with Raging Speedhorn and then January 26 London, Electrowerkz with Conan.
Look out for some big live/touring news from the band in the next month or so, for 2017.
