Following the announcement of the 2017 UK live dates for America’s hottest young artist/producer duo The Chainsmokers, the pair have confirmed an additional London date at The Roundhouse on Saturday 25th February due to high demand.
One of pop music’s biggest breakout acts of the year, The Chainsmokers have recently unveiled their eagerly-awaited new single “Closer,” featuring vocals from rising star Halsey and the duo’s own Drew Taggart. Currently holding the Number 1 spot in the UK Charts for its fourth week the lyric video was directed by Rory Kramer and is available to view HERE.
The release of “Closer” comes hot on the heels of the duo’s two massive smash hits this year, “Roses” ft. Rozes and “Don’t Let Me Down” ft. Daya – streamed over 50m times on Spotify in the UK alone with ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ peaking at #2 in the UK’s Official Charts and having over 300 million combined video views to date. “Closer” has already gone Top 5 in the UK iTunes chart and Top 20 in Spotify.
Internationally, “Roses” is now certified 3x Platinum in Australia; 2x Platinum in US, Canada, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden; Platinum in Belgium, Brazil, Ireland and Italy; Gold in Germany, Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Spain and Switzerland. “Don’t Let Me Down” is certified 3x Platinum in Australia; 2x Platinum in Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden; Platinum in Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Switzerland; Gold in Denmark, Germany, Poland and Portugal. Following The Chainsmokers’ headline European tour in October the duo will return to the UK in 2017 where they will perform a very special date at Manchester Academy on Thursday 23rd February followed by two headline shows at London Roundhouse on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February.
