The Dirty Nil to release new album ‘Minimum R&B’!

the dirty nil

Fresh off a global tour and JUNO Award nomination, Hamilton rock n roll trio THE DIRTY NIL have announced the forthcoming release of Minimum R&B. Comprised of eleven tracks from the band’s back catalogue, the album will include one unreleased track, a combination of 7”s, and the EP ‘Smite’ all in one place. Dine Alone and Fat Wreck Chords have joined forces to bring us this compilation which will be available digitally and in physical formats on April 28, 2017.

On the compilation’s inspiration, the band says it was “fuelled by a television destroyed in seconds, girls night out wine, broken vintage fuzz pedals, smashing revert tanks with hammers, a small lake of black coffee, horrible recording conditions, general negligence, recording vocals naked, beer, blood, broken bones, broken instruments, broken ears, inescapable loudness, screaming, unresolved girl problems, exposed wiring, no pants, no shoes, making our producers drink more than they wanted to, and a dozen donuts.”
Minimum R&B track-listings:
1. Fuckin’ Up Young
2. Verona Lung
3. Little Metal Baby Fist
4. Hate Is A Stone
5. Cinnamon
6. Guided By Vices
7. Nicotine
8. Beat
9. New Flesh
10. Pale Blue
11. Caroline

Many of the tracks on the compilation laid the groundwork for the band’s critically acclaimed debut full length ‘Higher Power’. Since its release, the band’s momentum has only increased with global tours alongside FLAG, Alexisonfire and a nomination at the upcoming 2017 JUNO Awards. This month THE DIRTY NIL will be kicking off another tour across Canada with Billy Talent and Monster Truck followed by a string of European dates with The Menzingers. A full list of UK dates are below:
