Reading and Leeds Festivals BBC Music Introducing acts announced!


BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens announced the exciting new artists who will perform on the BBC Music Introducing stages at Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2017.
2017 marks 10 years of BBC Music Introducing hosting stages at Reading and Leeds (25-27 August 2017), showcasing some of the best emerging talent from across the UK.

CassiaColouringDan StockIderIsland, KOYO, Pale WavesPlaying House,SœurToo Many TsVerschieden and Will Sin For Love will appear at Reading Festival on Saturday 26th August before they’re welcomed to the BBC Music Introducing stage at Leeds Festival on Sunday 27th August.
AlibiAnna StrakerChromaDeadset DreamGinger SnapsHoney LungLow Island, Mosa WildPenguinQueen Zee and The Sasstones, Rock Bottom Risers, and The Pale White will play at Leeds Festival on Friday 25th August before featuring at Reading Festival on Sunday 27th August.
There will be surprise performances each day at both festivals.

With over 460,000 tracks uploaded to the BBC Music Introducing Uploader and 170,000 artists registered since its launch in 2007, BBC Music Introducing supports and propels emerging artists onto the national stage through BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio 3, Asian Network and World Service. BBC Music Introducing also provides up-and-coming artists with broadcast opportunities on television and online, as well as the chance to perform at major festivals and showcases. Big name artists including Florence and The Machine, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Slaves, Jack Garratt, The 1975, Jake Bugg, Rae Morris, James Bay, Izzy Bizu and George Ezra all received BBC Music Introducing support at the start of their careers
